COLUMBUS, Ohio – The RV/RV Ohio State women's basketball team (3-1) beat Kent State (3-3) by an 88-68 margin on Wednesday evening on Our Honor Defend Military Appreciation Night.
Ohio State used an early 8-0 run to gain an 18-12 lead after 10 minutes of play. The second quarter featured back-and-forth play as Kent State captured its first lead of the quarter before the Buckeyes regained the lead and was ahead 36-35 at halftime. Ohio State came out of the locker room strong, scoring the first eight points of the third quarter en route to a 28-13 quarter to extend the lead to 64-48 with one quarter to play. The Buckeyes outscored the Golden Flashes 52-33 in second half for an 88-68 win.
T'yana Todd scored in double figures for the second consecutive game as she had 10 points in the first half on her way to 15 total points. Chance Gray (18), Kennedy Cambridge (10) and Jaloni Cambridge (19) joined Todd in double figures.
