Buckeyes Top Liberty to Begin 2025-26 Season

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State pistol team began defense of its national championship last weekend at Liberty, as the Buckeyes defeated the Flames by a score of 6643-5817.
The Buckeyes' individual top three were Marcus Klemp, Blaine Simpson, and Johnathan Dorsten.
Blaine Simpson won sport pistol with 567, 2nd was a tie between Abbie Leverett and Johnathan Dorsten with 563.
Standard was dominated by Abbie Leverett and Maral Gantsooj, which tied for first place with 553.
Marcus Klemp won air pistol with 585, a world class score, a personal best for him, and a school record. He established the previous one, 580, a year ago.
Blaine Simpson set a personal best in Air pistol with 569, enough to secure second place. Maral Gantsooj's 553 in Standard pistol is also a personal best for her.
