COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women's hockey team completed the series sweep of No. 11 St. Cloud State with a 4-2 win Saturday at the OSU Ice Rink. The Buckeyes (7-1-0, 5-1-0 WCHA) overcame a two-goal deficit to take the game two win over the Huskies (4-6-0, 1-5-0 WCHA).

How it Happened
- St. Cloud State scored the lone goal of the first period at 11:31 to take the 1-0 lead at the first intermission.
- Both teams were scoreless in the second period with Kressin making five saves and Chobak eight in the frame.
- The Huskies' lead doubled in the third with a goal at 11:31.
- With 12 minutes to play in the game, Hilda Svensson and Sloane Matthews rushed into the St. Cloud zone and took a couple shots on goal that were saved by Chobak, but Joy Dunne was in front to knock a rebound into the net at 8:10 for Ohio State's first goal of the game.
- A five-minute power play for the Buckeyes, earned after St. Cloud State was called for contact to the head, was pivotal for Ohio State. The team scored twice on the player advantage, with Dunne tying the game at 13:02 and Emma Peschel recording the game-winning goal at 13:48.
- The Buckeyes added one more for good measure with Dunne completing the hat trick with a goal at 19:21.
- Kressin played in her first game for the Buckeyes, earning her first career start and win in Saturday's game.
- Svennson's four assists are a career-high and most in a game by a Buckeye since Peschel also recorded four against Bemidji State Sept. 27, 2024. She finished the series with a team-high six points.
- Peschel's game-winning goal is her sixth of her career and first of the season. It is also her sixth career power play goal.
- Dunne's third period hat trick is the first hat trick by a Buckeye in a single period since Matthews recorded three goals in the second period against Minnesota on Feb. 1. Dunne tallied four goals in the series against the Huskies.
- Ohio State's penalty kill went 7-for-7 on the weekend to improve to .812 on the year.
