Buckeyes Head to Chicago for ITA Midwest Regional

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio State men's tennis team travels to Chicago this week (Oct. 16-20) for the ITA Midwest Regional at the XS Tennis Center. DePaul is the host school for the event.Â
Tickets and parking are free.Â
The tournament will include a minimum 64-player singles main draw and 32-team doubles main draw, with qualifying draws used to finalize the field. The two singles finalists and the doubles champion from each regional will automatically qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships, set to take place at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida, Nov. 18-23,

This is the second event of the fall schedule for the Buckeyes.Â
Junior Aidan Kim was the runner-up at the 2005 ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in September. He earned an automatic bid into the NCAA individual championships and will not compete in singles during the remaining fall collegiate schedule prior to the NCAA championships. Â
