Kim Makes Finals at 2025 ITA All-American Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State's Aidan Kim advanced to the finals in the main singles draw at the 2025 ITA All-American Championships Sunday in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he finished as the runner-up after falling to Jay Friend of Arizona, 2-6, 4-6.

Kim made the final match with a 6(5)-7, 6-3, 6-4 win over Devin Badenhorst of Baylor Saturday in the semifinals. He finished the event with a 5-1 overall record in singles.

As a result of making the quarterfinals, Kim earned a spot in the NCAA Singles Championships later this fall in Orlando. A season ago, Kim reached the semifinals of the 2024 ITA All-American Championships.

Jack Anthrop remained in contention for a spot in the NCAA Singles Championship through the consolation singles bracket with a 6-3, 6-2 win over teammate Nikita Filin before falling to Duncan Chan of TCU in the consolation quarterfinals. He finished the week with a 5-2 record in singles.

Ohio State's doubles team of Alexander Bernard and Alex Okonkwo made it to the quarterfinals of the main doubles draw before falling to Suresh Dhakshineswar and Andrew Delgado (WFU), 6-3, 6(4)-7, 9-11.

Along the way, Bernard and Okonkwo defeated No. 2 seed Albert Pedrico Kravtsov and Cosme Rolland De Ravel (TCU), 7-5, 3-6, 11-9 in the round of 16.

In singles, Filin competed well, going 8-2 overall. He fell to Anthrop in the consolation bracket. In doubles, along with partner Brandon Carpico, Filin put together a 5-1 record in Tulsa.

Ohio State will next travel to Chicago Oct. 16-20 for the Midwest Regional competition.
