COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 20 Ohio State will open Big Ten play on Thursday night at Indiana and will then return home to host Brown on Sunday afternoon at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Thursday’s match at Indiana will be televised on BTN and Sunday’s match will be streamed on B1G+.
The program will celebrate Parent’s Day on Sunday prior to the match vs. Brown.
Admission and parking are free for all Ohio State women’s home matches.
- All-time, Ohio State is 17-13-3 against Indiana and is unbeaten against the Hoosiers in the last four meetings.
- Last year, Kailyn Dudukovich and Ella Giannola each scored first half goals in a 2-1 victory over Indiana in Columbus on Sept. 28.
- In the last trip to Bloomington in 2022, the Buckeyes shut out the Hoosiers 4-0 as Kine Flotre tied the program's single-game record with three assists.
- Ohio State is 10-13-7 in Big Ten openers. Last season, the Buckeyes drew with Michigan State 1-1 in their first Big Ten match.
- This will be just the second meeting all-time against Brown. The Buckeyes went to Brown in September of 2022 and came away with a 3-2 victory. Sydney Jones, Emma Sears and Kailyn Dudukovich were the goal scorers.
- Indiana and Brown played each other on Sept. 1 this season and tied 1-1. The Hoosiers are 5-0-1 on the year and are tied for second in the country, averaging four goals per match. Brown is 1-1-3 and in addition to its draw with Indiana, also drew 1-1 at Minnesota last Sunday.
- The Buckeyes are ranked for the fourth-consecutive week in the USC Coaches Poll, checking in at No. 20.
- Ohio State went on the road for the first time last week, winning 4-0 at Navy and then dropping a hard-fought 1-0 decision at No. 13 Auburn.
- The Buckeyes have 18 freshmen and sophomores on the roster with seven of their 11 starters are underclassmen.
- Senior forward Kailyn Dudukovich leads the team with six goals on the season. Sophomore Amanda Schlueter had a hand in all four goals in the win at Navy and has a trio of goals and assists for the year.
- This week, head coach Lori Walker-Hock announced that Sydney Jones, Peyton McNamara and Mirann Gacioch were named captains of this year team.
