
Three From Ohio State Pistol Set to Compete in Summer Olympic Games

Katelyn Abeln, Ada Korkhin and Henry Leverett will all compete between July 27 and Aug. 5
COLUMBUS, Ohio – As the curtain rises on the 2024 Paris Olympics tonight with the opening ceremony, three Ohio State Buckeyes are set to compete in the first two weeks of the games.
Katelyn Abeln, who recently concluded her Ohio State career by helping the Buckeyes win a fourth consecutive national championship, gets underway tomorrow – July 27 – in the qualification stage of the 10m air pistol event beginning at 6:30 a.m. ET. The finals of that event are set for the next day – July 28 – at 6 a.m.
Abeln will also be in action in the 25m sport pistol – along with fellow Buckeye Ada Korkhin – on Aug. 2 and Aug. 3.
Henry Leverett, who is competing in his second Olympic Games, has two qualification stages of the 25m rapid fire pistol event on Aug. 4 at 3 a.m. ET and 7 a.m. ET, respectively. Should he advance, he'd shoot in the final round on Aug. 5 at 3:30 a.m. ET.
