COLUMBUS, Ohio--Jacob Pasteur, who recently helped the Buckeyes to their second-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, is a finalist for a pair of national honors awarded by Off the Block.
Pasteur, a 2024 American Volleyball Coaches Association Second-Team All-American, completed his career No. 4 at Ohio State in career kills with 1,492. He also ended his tenure No. 2 in career aces with 162.
The annual Off the Block awards are voted upon by a nationwide voting committee of more than 20 NCAA Division I-II men's volleyball coaches and volleyball media.Â
The Top 3 vote-getters were named finalists for the 11 awards named by Off the Block.Â
Pasteur was selected as a finalist for the 2024 Karch Kiraly Award and the 2024 Dain Blanton Diversity Award.Â
The Kiraly Award is given to the nation's best outside attacker in NCAA Division I-II during the regular season.Â
The Blanton Award recognizes the top NCAA Division I-II men's volleyball player of a minority ethnicity.Â
