COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's lacrosse team plays its final road game of the 2024 regular season this weekend, traveling to College Park, Md. to take on No. 9 Maryland. The Buckeyes (6-5, 1-1 B1G) and Terrapins (6-3, 1-1 B1G) faceoff Saturday, April 6 at noon from SECU Stadium.

As a team...
- Ohio State earned its first conference win of the season last week at Rutgers. The Buckeyes earned their first back-to-back win over the Scarlet Knights with a 14-8 victory that saw Alex Marinier tally a career-high five goals and Caleb Fyock post 11 saves.
- The Buckeyes tied their season high points in a game with 22 points on 14 goals and a season-high eight assists against Rutgers.
- The matchup was the Buckeyes' sixth in as many weeks against a ranked opponent. Ohio State's past opponents' current rankings: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 Virginia, No. 7 Penn State, No. 8 Denver and No. 12 Cornell.Â
- The remaining three games of the regular season are all against ranked teams – No. 9 Maryland (April 6), No. 10 Johns Hopkins (April 14) and No. 16 Michigan (April 20).

His five goals against Rutgers tie for the most goals scored by a Big Ten player in conference play this season.
- Ed Shean, who is second on the team with 22 points, paces the Buckeyes with a career-high 10 assists in 2024.
- Freshman Jack Oldman went 11-of-20 from the faceoff X last week against Rutgers and is 16-of-25 in Big Ten play. Tommy Burke leads the Buckeyes' faceoff unit overall this season, going 94-of-167 (.563). He ranks third in the conference in win percentage.
- Burke leads the Buckeyes with 50 ground balls in 2024. Cullen Brown leads non-faceoff players with 37. Burke is third in the league in ground balls per game (5.00) and Brown paces non-faceoff players with 3.36 per game.
- Marcus Hudgins' 16 caused turnovers on the year put him at third in the Big Ten with 1.45 per game. Cullen Brown (1.09) and Connor Cmiel (1.00) are sixth and seventh, respectively.
- Matt Caputo has recorded multiple points in four of the Buckeyes' last five games. In that stretch, he has eight goals and four assists.
- Ohio State is 3-13 in the all-time series against Maryland.
- Last season, the Buckeyes took the Terrapins to overtime, ultimately falling, 11-12.
- Ohio State's last win over Maryland came in College Park, with the Buckeyes earning the 12-10 win in 2018.
