COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's lacrosse team is set to face Michigan for the second time in as many weeks, this time in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Men's Lacrosse Tournament. The Buckeyes (6-8, 1-4 B1G) and Wolverines (7-6, 2-3 B1G) faceoff from U-M Lacrosse Stadium at noon Saturday, April 27.

As a team...
- Ohio State fell just one goal short in the 2024 regular season finale against Michigan last weekend in Columbus. Despite a five-goal fourth quarter, the Buckeyes dropped a 13-12 decision to the Wolverines.
- Ohio State is the five seed in the 2024 Big Ten Men's Lacrosse Tournament. The team tied with Rutgers at 1-4 in conference play but won the head-to-head tie breaker against the Scarlet Knights. The winner of Saturday's quarterfinal games will play either Johns Hopkins or Maryland in the tournament semifinals held in Columbus next week. The winner of the tournament earns the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
- The Buckeyes lead the Big Ten in caused turnovers per game (9.43) and ground balls per game (34.29).
- Ohio State has recorded a program-record 132 caused turnovers in 2024. With at least one more game to play in the season, the Buckeyes have surpassed the previous record set in 2011 by six.
- Forty-nine Buckeyes earned Ohio State Scholar Athlete honors for earning a 3.00 grade point average this year.
- Ohio State has faced off against seven of the top-10 teams in the country in 2024. As a result, the Buckeyes' strength of schedule ranks fifth in the country.

- Eli Fisher and Marcus Hudgins were named All-Big Ten honorees this week by the conference. Hudgins is a First Team member and Fisher is on the Second Team. The awards are the first Big Ten Conference honors for the duo. Also announced this week was Jacob Snyder as the Buckeyes' Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner.
- Snyder closed his final regular season game as a Buckeye with a career-best performance. He recorded a career-high four ground balls and four caused turnovers last weekend against the Wolverines. Snyder is now fifth in the Ohio State record book with 41 career caused turnovers.
- Hudgins leads the team with 21 caused turnovers on the year. The mark is good for third all-time by a Buckeye in a season. He is third in the league with 1.50 per game. Cullen Brown's 16 caused turnovers in 2024 rank ninth in the record book.
- Alex Marinier paces the attack with 27 goals and 29 points on the year. Five Buckeyes have reached the 20-point mark for the season: Marinier, Jack McKenna (27), Ed Shean (26), Gannon Matthews (25) and Ben Mayer (24).
- Marinier's 12 goals in Big Ten play this season tie for fifth in season Big Ten goals by a Buckeye all-time. McKenna's 14 points in conference games this year rank ninth among all-time Buckeyes in season Big Ten points.
- McKenna has recorded multiple goals in the last four games for the Buckeyes. Shean and Eiland are on three-game goal streaks. Â
- Shean leads the team with a career-high 11 assists this season.
- Marinier is second in the Big Ten, and just one goal short of the lead, with four man-up goals in 2024.
- Tommy Burke has grabbed a team-high 62 ground balls this season for the Buckeyes and leads the way on the faceoff with a .549 win percentage (117-213). His win percentage is third best in the Big Ten this season.
- Ohio State is 11-7 against Michigan in the varsity series record. The teams have met 28 times prior to Saturday, including both varsity and non-varsity contests.
- The Buckeyes are 8-5 against Michigan in Ann Arbor.
- This year marks the third straight season the Buckeyes and Wolverines have met in the final game of the regular season and first round of the Big Ten Tournament.
