COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's lacrosse team dropped its regular season finale, 13-12, to Michigan Saturday night at the Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.
Ohio State put together its longest scoring run of the night in the last 10 minutes of the game after Michigan took its largest lead –13-7 – to open the fourth quarter. Starting at 9:01 in the final frame, the Buckeyes scored five goals to come within one of the Wolverines. The team's final three goals came within 30 seconds of each other.
Ohio State was tied with Michigan 1-1 in the first quarter and came within one of the Wolverines at the half.
Jack McKenna tallied his four straight three-point game for the Buckeyes and tied with Matt Caputo, Blake Eiland and Alex Marinier with two goals on the day.
Marcus Hudgins grabbed a career-high nine ground balls in the contest while Jacob Snyder led the team with a career-high four caused turnovers. The Buckeyes finished the game with 41 ground balls, its most in a Big Ten game this season.
Goalie Caleb Fyock made 10 saves in his first game against Michigan for his sixth consecutive game with double-digit saves.
The Buckeyes finish the regular season fifth in the Big Ten.
