COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's lacrosse starts a four-game homestand at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium this weekend against No. 3 Notre Dame. The Buckeyes (4-2) and Fighting Irish (3-1) faceoff Saturday, March 9 at noon from Columbus.

A limited number of tickets remain for the game and can be purchased HERE. The game will also be streamed on B1G+.

Due to state wrestling at the Schottenstein Center this weekend, fans are encouraged to arrive early for Saturday's game. Buckeye Lot 1 will be reserved for men's lacrosse and fans should self-identify to park there. Overflow parking will be in the remaining Buckeye Lots.

Buckeyes In a Nutshell
- This weekend's test against the third-ranked Fighting Irish is the Buckeyes' third straight matchup against a top-10 team.
- In its last game, Ohio State fell to then-ranked No. 10 Cornell last weekend in New York. The teams were tied at the half, but the Big Red pulled away with the 15-11 win.
- Ben Mayer, a junior attackman, leads the Buckeyes with 15 points on the year. In the last two games combined, he has tallied three goals and two assists against top-ranked teams. The Palm Harbor, Fla. native has scored a goal in every game this season.
- Mayer is tied with Gannon Matthews with a team-high 12 goals in six games.
- The Buckeyes' specialists rank among the top players in the conference and nationally. Freshman goalie Caleb Fyock ranks sixth in the country in goals against average (8.97) and 11th in save percentage (0.569). He leads the conference in those categories. FOGO Tommy Burke is third in the B1G and 16th nationally in faceoff win percentage (0.616).
- Ohio State's veteran defense is showing its strength early. The team ranks fifth in the country, and leads the conference, in scoring defense (8.83) and man-down defense (.818).
- Senior defender Marcus Hudgins continues to lead the Big Ten with 2.17 caused turnovers per game. In the Buckeyes' two games against top-10 teams, Hudgins has caused four turnovers. Ohio State is second in the conference with 9.50 caused turnovers per game.
- Junior midfielder Ari Allen was awarded the Michelle Willis Academic Achievement Award this week. He is the first men's lacrosse recipient of the award, which is designed specifically to recognize student athletes who have overcome obstacles to achieve academic success. Allen is pursuing a degree in communication.
- The Buckeyes are 3-0 at home this season with wins over Utah, Cleveland State and Bellarmine. The team is 8-2 all-time at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.
- Saturday's game is the 48th meeting in the all-time series between Ohio State and Notre Dame.
- While the Fighting Irish have the edge in the overall series, the Buckeyes have won three of the last four matchups.
- The last time the teams met in Columbus was in the 2022 season, with Ohio State earning a 14-11 win over Notre Dame. The Buckeyes have won the last two meetings in Columbus, winning the 2020 matchup at Ohio Stadium, 13-11.
