Champions Again! Ohio State Wins Fourth Consecutive National Title

Katelyn Abeln wins two events and had the top overall aggregate
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Intercollegiate Pistol Championship trophy is staying in Columbus for a fourth consecutive year.
That's because the Buckeyes completed a four-peat this weekend and have defended their national title and in the process earned another championship ring. Ohio State placed first overall at the national championships, finishing 296 points ahead of Navy. The Buckeyes had an aggregate score of 6736.
Individually, Ada Korkhin was the champion in the air pistol, Katelyn Abeln took home first place honors in the sport pistol and Abeln was also the winner of the standard pistol. She also had the top aggregate score (1717) as the Buckeyes had each of the top-five finishers in the aggregate.
Just like last year, the Buckeyes swept the top three spots in two out of three team and individual event. It also continues a trend of titles for the scarlet and gray as they've now won nine total open and women's national titles in pistol events since 2000.
