Buckeyes Turn in Six All-American Performances on Third Day of NCAAs

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 9 Ohio State women's swimming and diving team turned in six All-American performances on the third day of the NCAA Championships on Friday.
Earning First Team All-American honors were Hannah Bach and Josephine Panitz, who both competed in the A final of the 100 breast. Bach placed sixth with a time of 57.40 and Panitz finished seventh with a time of 58.38.
Katherine Zenick finished fifth in the B final of the 100 fly, touching the wall at 51.40. She earned Honorable Mention All-American status with her finish.
In the B final of the 200 free, Amy Fulmer placed seven with a time of 1:44.06 to earn Honorable Mention All-American honors.
Nyah Funderburke earned a fifth-place finish in the 100 back B final, turning in a time of 51.43. She earned Honorable Mention All-American recognition.
The Buckeyes closed out the night with an Honorable Mention All-American performance in the 400 medley relay. The team of Funderburke, Bach, Zenick and Fulmer finished in 3:29.62 to place 13th overall.
After three days of competition, the Buckeyes are in 11th place with 104 points.
The NCAA Championships wrap up on Saturday, March 23. The final day's events are the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, platform dive and the 400 free relay.
