Buckeyes Set for Game vs. Marquette Tuesday Afternoon

- The Ohio State women's lacrosse team hosts its first of two games this week with a Tuesday afternoon matchup vs. Marquette.
- The Buckeyes and Golden Eagles will meet at 1 p.m. in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium. Admission and parking are free.

- Ohio State enters the game 5-2, coming off a road loss at No. 4 Michigan last week. Marquette is 2-5 and fell at home to No. 19 Colorado last Friday.
- The Buckeyes will host No. 3 Maryland at 1 p.m. Saturday to wrap up the week. Â
- Ohio State is 3-1 all-time against Marquette. This is the third year in a row the squads are facing off.
- In Columbus in 2022, the Buckeyes posted an 18-11 win inside Woody Hayes Athletic Center. Last year, a Buckeye rally fell short in a 13-12 road loss.
- The first game between the schools was in Columbus in 2019, an 11-9 Buckeye victory, with the second March 7, 2020, when Ohio State recorded a 16-14 win road win in Milwaukee.
- Marquette, a member of the Big East, is 2-5 this season. The Golden Eagles are sixth nationally in draw controls per game (17.43), with Josie Kropp 12th individually with 7.29 a contest. The squad is averaging 13.0 goals a game, allowing 15.43 per outing.
- Ohio State is 1-1 vs. Big East schools this season, with a road loss at Denver and home victory over Butler.

- Ohio State is fourth nationally in clearing percentage (.947), with 124 clears in 131 chances. The Buckeyes are ninth in the NCAA in turnovers per game (11.86).
- The Buckeyes rank 11th nationally in scoring defense, allowing 8.14 goals a game. The squad has limited opponents to 24 first-half goals through the first seven games.
- The Buckeyes began the year with four wins in a row, the first 4-0 start for the program since 2015. The squad was 3-1 through its first four games each of the last two years.
- Ohio State enters the contest vs. Marquette 3-0 at home, with wins over Robert Morris, Kent State and Butler. The squad has four home games remaining - this week vs. Marquette and Maryland, vs. Penn State March 28 and vs. Rutgers April 18.
- Senior goalie Regan Alexander, who had double-digit saves in each of the last three games, is fourth in the NCAA in goals-against average (7.44) and third in save percentage (.553). She is sixth in school history with 360 career saves, seven behind Annie Carruthers (367) in fifth. Alexander had a career-best 16 saves at Denver earlier this year.
- Jamie Lasda leads the Buckeyes with 22 goals and 26 points, ranking in the Top 10 in the B1G in goals (3.14) and points (3.71) per game. She enters the game vs. Marquette on a career-high tying 13-game scoring streak, with 33 goals, 16 assists and 49 points in the stretch.
- This season Lasda has multiple points in all but one game, including five multi-goal outings. Last week at Michigan she had a season-high three assists. In her 49-game Buckeye career, Lasda has 86 goals, 47 assists and 133 points.
- Brynn Ammerman leads the Buckeyes with 15 assists and is second with 25 points, tying for third with 10 goals. She has at least one point in each of the first seven games, with multiple assists in five outings. Ammerman is third in the B1G with 2.14 assists per game and ninth with 3.57 points a contest.
- Lilli Sherman, who has started all seven games on defense, leads the Buckeyes with 10 caused turnovers, with multiple in three games. She is tied with Alexander for first on the team with 17 ground balls, picking up a career-best five at Akron. Sherman entered the season with five games played and two ground balls in her first two years.
- Leah Sax was held without a point for the first time this season at Michigan last week. She has five two-goal outings and at least two points in six of seven outings. At Denver, she notched a career-high three points, with her first two collegiate assists. The senior started the year with one goal and three games played in her first three seasons. She is second on the squad with 11 goals, tying for third with 13 points.
- Emily Magalotti, a starter at midfield this season after playing defense in 2023, notched her first collegiate goal at Denver and then scored twice vs. Butler the following game. She extended her goal streak to three with a tally at Michigan.
- Annie Hargraves has at least one goal in six of seven games this year, held scoreless only at Denver. She has back-to-back two-goal outings and now has 10 goals on the year to tie for third on the squad.
- Hargraves and freshman Kampbell Stone share the team lead in draw controls with 17 each.
- Stone was held without a point at Michigan, ending a six-game point streak to start her collegiate career. She has eight goals this season.
- Rookie Audrey Schoemer started the first seven games on defense and has five ground balls and four caused turnovers.
- Zoe Coleman has at least one point in six of seven games this year and is tied for third on the team with 13 points. She notched her second two-goal game of the year last week vs. the Wolverines and has seven on the year. Â
