
Seven Buckeyes Earn All-WCHA Honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Seven members of the Ohio State women's hockey team have been named to All-WCHA teams, the conference announced Thursday.

First Team All-WCHA – Cayla Barnes and Hannah Bilka
Barnes led all WCHA defenders in the regular season conference schedule with 24 points. She earned a team-high +55 on ice so far this year for the Buckeyes. Barnes has helped Ohio State hold its opponents to less than 19 shots per game with a team-high 48 blocked shots on the year.

Bilka has tallied 15 goals and 21 assists in league play this year and leads the Buckeyes with 39 points and 23 assists this season. The graduate forward is also tied for the team lead with four power play goals and has a short handed tally on the year as well. Bilka has tallied the team's game-winning goals against Minnesota Duluth (Oct. 14), Wisconsin (Nov. 18) and Minnesota (Jan. 13). She scored her first career hat trick against St. Thomas (Feb. 16) and tallied three multi-goal performances against WCHA opponents.

Second Team All-WCHA – Hadley Hartmetz
Hadley Hartmetz has blocked 26 shots this year and helped the Buckeye blue line hold opponents to just 1.34 goals per game. She is tied with Barnes with 27 points this season. The Phoenixville, Pa. native recorded her first career hat trick against Minnesota Duluth (Oct. 13) and blocked a season-high four shots in the 2-1 win over Wisconsin (Nov. 18). Hartmetz picked up four Defender of the Week honors from the league this year.

Second Team All-WCHA – Joy Dunne, Jenn Gardiner and Raygan Kirk
Dunne, who was named the WCHA Preseason Rookie of the Year, leads Ohio State with 18 goals this season and is the only rookie on the all-conference teams. She scored two hat tricks against WCHA opponents this season and has had nine multi-point performances against league foes.

Gardiner, the Buckeyes' captain, is second on the team with 36 points this season. She tallied the game-winning goal against Minnesota (Oct. 27) and added two power play goals against Wisconsin (Nov. 17). The forward from Surrey, B.C. was twice named the league's Forward of the Week this season. The All-WCHA honor is her second of her career.

In goal, Raygan Kirk led the league with a 1.02 goals against average and a 14-1-0 record in conference play. She earned five of her six shutouts against WCHA opponents and ranks second nationally with a 1.02 goals against average and fourth with a .949 save percentage. Kirk, who is a Semifinalist for the Women's Goalie of the Year award, is a five-time WCHA Goaltender of the Week and two-time Goaltender of the Month.

WCHA All-Rookie Team – Jocelyn Amos and Joy Dunne
Jocelyn Amos has tallied 24 points in her first collegiate season. With multi-goal games against Bemidji State (Feb. 3) and Minnesota (Oct. 28), Amos has 12 goals on the year. She has also scored two short handed goals to help the Buckeyes to a program-record tying seven short handed goals this season. She has earned three WCHA Rookie of the Week awards.

Dunne was twice named Rookie of the Week and picked up the Rookie of the Month honor for her play in January. She is third nationally in goals scored by rookies.
