COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State senior all-arounder and captain Kameron Nelson travels to Louisville, Ky. this weekend for the 2024 Winter Cup. Competition on Friday begins at 1:30 p.m. and competition on Sunday begins at 5:30 p.m. The meet will be streamed live on USA Gymnastics YouTube page. Â
- Prior to the season, Nelson was named a Big Ten Gymnast to Watch and was selected captain.
- Most recently in the dual meet at Penn State, he won both the floor (14.400, stuck final pass) and rings (14.200, stuck dismount) competitions and tied for second on vault (14.450), also competing in the all-around for the first time this season.
- Nelson has five additional podium finishes this season.
- He competed at the 2023 Cairo World Cup for USA Gymnastics last April, qualifying for the finals on both vault (finished fifth) and floor (finished eighth).
- During the 2023 collegiate season, Nelson was a three-time All-American (floor, vault, all-around).
- He also won the Big Ten Vault Championship in 2022.

Ohio State hosts the NCAA Championships on April 19-20 inside the Covelli Center with the qualifiers on Friday and the Championships on Saturday.
