Buckeyes Post Even-Par Round on Day 1 of Watersound Invite

COLUMBUS, Ohio – It was a cool start to the Watersound Invitational in Panama City, Fla., on Monday as Ohio State battled its way to an even-par round of 288 and sit in a tie for eighth through 18 holes.
Neal Shipley and Maxwell Moldovan each posted under-par rounds on the day. Shipley made four birdies and an eagle in his round of 3-under 69 while Moldovan had six birdies in his 1-under 71. Both will start the second round in the Top 15.
Jackson Chandler birdied three of his final five holes to open with an even-par 72. Adam Wallin had a 4-over 76 and Jack Vojtko posted a 79. Jacob Tarkany, who is playing as an individual, had a team-best 13 pars on Monday and carded a 1-over 73.
The Buckeyes are paired with Vanderbilt and Oregon State in the second round and will start on the 10th beginning at 10 a.m. ET.
