COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 6 Ohio State men's gymnastics team (6-0) travels to No. 2 Oklahoma on Saturday for a tri meet also including Arizona State. The meet is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
- Ohio State ranks sixth in the country with an average score of 396.150 after two meets this season.
- The Buckeyes beat Greenville in the season opener on Jan. 13 by a 395.000-387.350 margin and then finished first among six teams at the Navy Open on Jan. 20 with a team score of 397.300.
- Parker Thackston competed at the Stanford Open last weekend, earning a career-best 14.750 on pommel horse to finish second in the competition. Thackston was named College Gymnastics Association (CGA)'s Co-Specialist of the Week on Tuesday.
- Caden Spencer was named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week and CGA Specialist of the Week following the season-opening win against Greenville as he won both of his events – parallel bars and high bar.
- Thackston and captain Kameron Nelson were named Big Ten Gymnasts to Watch this season.
Ohio State hosts the NCAA Championships on April 19-20 inside the Covelli Center with the qualifiers on Friday and the Championships on Saturday.
