COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 12/11 Ohio State women's basketball team (4-0) hosts Bowling Green (2-3) for a Sunday matinee. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on B1G+ and AM1460.
- Ohio State earned its largest win in nearly 15 years with a 106-42 win against Ohio on Wednesday. This is also the largest winning margin of Kevin McGuff's head coaching career.
- The Buckeyes recorded a season-high 59 rebounds (including 31 offensive rebounds), 18 steals and 32 forced turnovers. Ohio State did not allow a Bobcat to score in double figures and forced OU to shoot 7.1 percent in the fourth.
- OSU's offense was balanced with six double-figure scorers. Elsa Lemmilä earned her first double-double with career-highs in points (21) and rebounds (14). Taylor Thierry's fifth career double-double was good for 13 points and 10 rebounds. Others in double figures were Chance Gray (20), Jaloni Cambridge (19), Ajae Petty (13) and Ava Watson (career-high 10).
- Bowling Green enters the game with a 2-3 record, winning both of its home games and losing all three road games.
- The Falcons hold victories over Southern Miss and St. Bonaventure and have lost to Detroit Mercy, Cleveland State and No. 13/12 West Virginia.
- Amy Velasco and Paige Kohler lead the BGSU offense with 19.8 and 12.8 points per game, respectively. Taya Ellis is averaging 10.0 rebounds per game.
- Ohio State is 24-3 in the all-time series with Bowling Green and is 8-1 when facing the Falcons in Columbus.
- The series was mostly played before the turn of the century with 22 of the 27 games happening before 2000.
- The Buckeyes earned a 94-63 win in the most recent meeting of the series on Nov. 17, 2021. Ohio State built a 26-14 lead by the end of the first quarter and didn't look back on an efficient shooting day as OSU was 34-of-60 (.567) from the floor and 8-of-14 (.571) from long range with four double-figure scorers. The Buckeye defense recorded 13 steals and forced 25 Falcon turnovers.
