Buckeye This and That
- The Buckeyes began their season on the regional course, as they raced in the Tommy Evans Invitational hosted by Akron. The men were first, with seven runners in the Top 10, and the women were the runner-up with five finishers in the Top 22.
- At the Great Lakes Regionals last year in Madison, Wis., the Buckeye women placed fifth, led by Addie Engel who was second and Daniella Santos who was seventh. The duo of Engel and Santos earned All-Region accolades and went on to earn at-large spots into the NCAA Championships. Engel, Santos and Andrea Kuhn earned regional honors in 2022 when the women clinched an automatic team berth to the national meet.
- Last season at regionals, the men were 15th and Kevin Agnew and Zubin Jha crossed the line first for the Scarlet and Gray.
- Six of the seven women who ran at regionals last season are on the Buckeye roster this year, along with six of the seven men.
- Kevin Agnew, Jha and Weston Day have all been among the Top 5 men in each of the Buckeyes' first five races. At the Big Ten Championships last time out, they were joined by Colby Adams and Keegan Freyhof as Buckeye counters.
- For the women, Akemi Von Scherr and Audrey DeSantis have been in the Buckeye Top 5 in all five races and Daniella Santos was a counter in the four races she ran.
- Aniya Mosley earned All-Big Ten honors at the Big Ten Championships, finishing eighth in a personal best time of 19:38.4. She has been the first finisher for the Buckeyes the last three times out.
- In the USFTFCCCA regional rankings released Nov. 4, the Buckeye women are fifth in the Great Lakes Region. Notre Dame is No. 1, followed by Wisconsin, Michigan State and Toledo. Ohio State's men are eighth in the region, with Wisconsin No. 1, Notre Dame No. 2 and Butler No. 3, followed by Michigan State, Michigan, Indiana and Purdue.
