- Cornell cut the Buckeyes' lead down to one twice on Saturday, with the first thanks to a goal from Katie Chan at 18:32 in the opening frame.
- With less than a second to play in the first period, Joy Dunne scored from the top of the goalie crease to restore the Buckeyes' two-goal advantage.
- Ohio State and Cornell each scored twice in the second period, with the Buckeyes bookending goals from the Big Red. Captain Jenna Buglioni was net front to redirect a shot from Dunne to put the Buckeyes ahead, 4-1, at 5:57.
