COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio State women's tennis team competed in the UT Home Invitational in Knoxville, Tenn., Friday through Sunday. Shelly Bereznyak and Nao Nishino were both 3-0 in singles in the tournament, with Alessia Cau, Luciana Perry and Dani Schoenly each 2-1. Megan Basil, Teah Chavez and Audrey Spencer picked up a win on the weekend as well. Spencer was 3-0 in doubles, partnered with Perry for two wins and with Schoenly for a victory Sunday. In all, the Buckeyes combined for a 17-8 singles ledger.Â
On day one, Ohio State was 4-3 in singles and posted a doubles win. Bereznyak, Nishino, Cau and Basil all won in singles and Spencer teamed up with Perry in doubles for a victory.
The second day saw Perry, Nishino, Bereznyak and Schoenly all post singles wins, with Perry and Schoenly prevailing in three sets. In doubles, Perry and Spencer picked up their second win of the weekend.Â
The Buckeyes won seven of eight singles matches on the final day of the tournament, with all seven victories in straight sets. Schoenly and Spencer were both victorious in singles and paired up for a doubles win. Cau, Perry, Nishino, Bereznyak and Chavez all notched singles wins Sunday.

The Schedule Ahead
- Ohio State will compete in the Spartan Invitational, hosted by Michigan State, Friday through Sunday in East Lansing, Mich.Â
- Two individual tournaments, the ITA Central Section Championships and ITA Conference Masters Championships, will be held Nov. 7-10.
- The NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships have been moved to the fall and will be contested Nov. 19-24 in Waco, Texas. Players can earn berths into the national championships through the four ITA events in the fall. More information on the pathway to the NCAAs is available HERE. Buckeye Luciana Perry earned her spot in the singles draw by winning the ITA Midwest Regional Championship.
