COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women's hockey team is back on the road for a two-game series against No. 10/11 St. Cloud State this weekend. The Buckeyes (5-2-1, 3-2-1 WCHA) and Huskies (6-0-0, 2-0-0 WCHA) face off at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday from the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minn.

Ohio State plays three games in Columbus next week. The Buckeyes host Mercyhurst Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the OSU Ice Rink and then hosts Cornell, Penn State and Stonehill for the 2024 Women's Ice Breaker Tournament Oct. 25-26 at the Schottenstein Center.

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- The Buckeyes have climbed back up to No. 2 in the national polls after claiming five of six conference points against then-ranked No. 2 Minnesota last weekend. The Buckeyes' performance against the Gophers brought the team up from fourth and fifth in the USCHO.com and USA Hockey/The Rink Live polls, respectively.
- Graduate assistant captain Amanda Thiele was named the league's goaltender of the week for her play in the series against the Gophers. Thiele made 52 saves on the weekend for a .929 save percentage to hold Minnesota, who averaged over three goals per game entering the weekend, to just four goals in the series. Her 28 saves in game two are a season-high for the team. The award is her first of the season.
- This weekend's series at St. Cloud State is the team's third consecutive series against a ranked opponent and fourth of the season. The Buckeyes are 3-2-1 against ranked teams this year.
- Graduate forward Jenna Buglioni leads the team with nine points on the year. She has recorded a point in six of eight games and has tallied three multi-point games this season.
- Buglioni is tied with sophomore Jocelyn Amos and freshman Jordyn Petrie for the team goal lead of five.
- Amos and Buglioni lead both the team and the nation in faceoff wins. Amos sits atop the national rankings with 105 wins and a .724 win percentage. Buglioni is second with 99 (.532) wins at the dot.
- The Buckeyes are led by graduate forward Jenna Buglioni with seven points on the year. Buglioni has tallied a point in five of six games this season.
- Emma Peschel and Maddi Wheeler lead the Buckeyes with seven assists each.
- Goaltenders Amanda Thiele and Hailey MacLeod are tied with a .894 save percentage this season. Thiele leads with a 1.97 goals against average in five games played.
- Kiara Zanon has scored two of the Buckeyes' four power play goals this season. Her two goals on the power play are a career-best as a Buckeye. She has scored 11 power play goals for her career and three in her Ohio State career.
- Ohio State head coach Nadine Muzerall, who is in her ninth season at the helm of the Buckeyes, earned her 200th win last weekend against Minnesota. She is 200-75-20 for her career at Ohio State.
- On the Buckeyes' 2024-25 roster, six student-athletes have played in more than 100 collegiate games – Riley Brengman (139), Buglioni (140), Makenna Webster (126), Maddi Wheeler (144), Zanon (139) and Emily Zumwinkle (122).
- This weekend is the first meeting of the 2024-25 season between Ohio State and St. Cloud State.
- Ohio State has not allowed more than two goals in a game against St. Cloud State since 2020.
- In St. Cloud, the Buckeyes are 12-1-0 in head coach Nadine Muzerall's tenure.
