Kailyn Dudukovich scored two goals and is now tied for the most goals in program history

COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 8 Ohio State bounced back on Sunday afternoon with a solid 4-2 victory over Purdue in West Lafayette on Sunday.

The Buckeyes are now 10-2-3 on the year and 5-1-2 in Big Ten play.

Senior forward Kailyn Dudukovich had two goals in the match. She has scored six goals in the last five games and is now tied with Tiffany Cameron as the all-time leading scorer in program history with 40 career goals.

Ava Bramblett scored the first goal of the match, recording her third goal of the season.

Ella Giannola had a goal and an assist. For her, it was her second goal of the season and her fifth assist.

Freshman Jadin Bonham assisted both Bramblett and Giannola goals. With the two assists, Bonham now has six on the season.

How it Happened

Ava Bramblett put the Buckeyes on the board in the 13th minute. Jadin Bonham put the ball into the box where Bramblett was able to run onto it. Bramblett took a one-touch shot that hit it off the far post and into the goal.

Kailyn Dudukovich scored the second Buckeye goal in the 30th minute. Ella Giannola hit a pass to Dudukovich in the goal box, where she redirected the ball with the outside of her left foot into the top corner of the net.

Just 20 seconds later, Purdue was able to convert and get on the board.

In the 36th minute, Dudukovich found her second goal. A crossed ball into the box lead to a Purdue handball, resulting in a penalty kick. But just before the half, Purdue got another goal, and it was 3-2 at the break.

The Buckeyes weren’t deterred in the second half. Ella Giannola secured the win with a goal in the 53rd minute. Jadin Bonham found an unmarked Giannola at the top of the box, where she hit a one-time shot to beat a frozen Purdue goalkeeper to the low corner.
