COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State is headed across the country for its first Big Ten west coast trip and what a trip it should be. The No. 15 Buckeyes will play at No. 9 USC on Thursday and at No. 10 UCLA on Sunday. The Trojans and Bruins are tied for the top spot in the league with the Buckeyes just five points behind. Both matches will be streamed on B1G+.
- Thursday's match at USC will be the first meeting between the two programs.
- The Buckeyes have played UCLA once previously, and that came in Columbus in the quarterfinals of the 2004 NCAA Tournament. The Bruins won that match 1-0.
- Ohio State is coming off a solid 4-2 victory at Purdue last Sunday. Kailyn Dudukovich scored a pair of goals while Ava Bramblett collected her third goal of the season and Ella Giannola had a three-point game with a goal and an assist.
- Dudukovich is enjoying a special season. She has 15 goals on the year, which is second-most in the nation. The 15 goals are also second-most in a single-season in program history, trailing Tiffany Cameron's 21 goals in 2012.
- Dudukovich's next goal will make her the program's solo leader in career goals scored as she is currently tied with Cameron for the most with 40. She is also third in program history with 90 career points.
- Schlueter has had at least one point in seven of the last nine matches and she is seventh in the country with eight assists.
- Dudukovich has 31 points and Schlueter has 24 points this season. Both totals are in the Top 15 nationally.
- The Buckeyes are 10-2-3 overall on the season and 5-1-2 in Big Ten play. They are fourth in the conference with 17 points.
- Ohio State is No. 15 in the latest USC rankings and remains in the Top 15 in RPI at No. 13.
- USC is 11-1-2 overall on the year the with its lone loss being a 2-1 setback at Stanford on Sept. 8. The Trojans drew with Minnesota and have won their other seven Big Ten matches. Senior Maile Hayes leads the team with seven goals and a pair of assists.
- UCLA has had a similarly good season, losing just twice in the non-conference and matching USC with a 7-0-1 conference mark thus far.
