Had the best pole vault of the season (5.28m) at the Rod McCravy Memorial to finish as the runner-up
Competed in the heptathlon at the Big Ten Championships, but suffered an injury and could not compete the competition (had won the 60m competition by running a 6.94 prior to withdrawing)
Finished third in the 60m hurdles (8.27) and eighth in the 60m (6.93) at the Michigan Invite
Finished fifth in the 60m hurdles (8.22) at the Rod McCravy Memorial
Had a PR in the 60m (6.86) at the Texas Tech Open (in the heptathlon)
Was 10^th in the pole vault (5.08m) at the Clemson Invitational, also running a season-best 8.08 in the 60m hurdles

Outdoor

Finished fifth in the decathlon (7365) at the Big Ten Championships, winning the pole vault portion (5.10m), finishing as the runner-up in the 110m hurdles (14.39), third in the 400m (49.09), fourth in the 100m (10.88), seventh in the 1500m (4:47.81) and eighth in the javelin (47.60m), shot put (12.07m) and high jump (1.78m)
At the Jesse Owens Classic, finished fifth in the 400m (48.76), sixth in the 110m hurdles prelims (14.44) and had a season-best 51.60m in the javelin
Finished sixth in the pole vault (4.97m) at the Penn Relays

In his Big Ten Championship heptathlon, was the top performer in the pole vault (5.10m) and 60m hurdles (8.17)
Finished seventh in the pole vault (5.00m) at the Big Ten Championships
Also was the best pole vaulter in the heptathlon competition (5.16m) at the NCAA Championships
Won the pole vault competition (4.96m) at the Big Ten Midwest Invite
