Buckeyes Receive USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award

A record number of programs received the award this year by maintaining a year-long GPA of 3.3 or above.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced on Thursday that a record number 1,332 collegiate and high school volleyball teams earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award this season, including the Ohio State women's volleyball team. To earn this award, teams must maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. View AVCA release HERE and full list of teams honored HERE.
The Buckeyes open the 2023 season with the NKU Tournament on Aug. 25 and 26 against Northern Kentucky, Bowling Green and Eastern Tennessee. Ohio State begins its home schedule against Georgia Tech on Saturday, Sept. 1 and Sunday, Sept. 2.
