
Buckeyes Break 4×100 Program Record in NCAA Semifinals

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team participated in the first women's competition day at the 2023 NCAA Championships on Thursday.
NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS (SEMIFINALS)
- 4x100m relay: The Buckeye squad won its heat and finished third overall to advance to Saturday's finals with a program-record time of 42.68. Leah Bertrand, Nya Bussey, Yanique Dayle and Columba Effiong formed the relay team.
- 4x400m relay: The OSU women also qualified for the finals in the 4x400m relay by finishing seventh overall (3:29.01) with a squad comprised of Bryannia Murphy, Alyssa Marsh, Chanler Robinson and Jaydan Wood.
- 100m: Dayle led the Buckeyes by finishing 13th overall (11.19), while Bussey was 18th (11.32) and Bertrand was 20th (11.37).
- 200m: Dayle posted her fastest wind-legal time of the season (22.79) to finish third in her heat and 13th in the field. Bussey's 23.39 was good for 23rd.
- 400m: Wood ran a personal-best time of 51.62 to finish 14th overall, moving up to tie for third in program history. Marsh finished 19th (51.85) and Murphy was 23rd (52.94).
