Ivan Shines at Slovakian Nationals

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Teresa Ivan turned in impressive performances at Slovakian Nationals last weekend in Šamorín, Slovakia.
Ivan became the Slovakian national champion in three events during the LCM meet. She won the 50 free with a time of 25.15, the 100 free with a time of 56.11 and the 50 back with a time of 29.57. Her 50 free time is one of the top 50 times in the world this season.
Ivan’s times in the 50 free and 100 free are both B standard qualifying times for the World Aquatics Championships, which will be held from July 14-30 in Fukuoka, Japan.
Ivan has had a stellar year for Slovakia; at the FINA Short-Course World Championships in December, she set the country’s 50 free record (24.61) and was also part of six record-breaking relay teams. She holds long-course records in the 4×100 medley relay (4:08.38) and the mixed 4×100 free relay (3:33.67).
