Ohio State is racing its fifth regatta of the season and fourth on the road. The Buckeyes opened the season at the IVY/Big Ten Duals March 25 in Camden, New Jersey, site of the 2023 NCAA Championships. The Buckeyes faced host Yale and Harvard-Radcliff at the event.
Virginia then played host to the Big Ten/ACC Regatta March 31–April 1 in Charlottesville. Ohio State won six races against the Cavaliers (2) and Duke (4).
Ohio State then traveled to the Big Ten Invite April 8 and came away with 10 wins over the two-day event.
Most recently, the Buckeyes won six-of-seven races in a regatta vs. Indiana and Michigan State April 22 at the Griggs Reservoir in Columbus.
This is the fourth season under the direction of head coach Kate Sweeney, who guided the Buckeyes to an eighth-place finish at the 2022 NCAA Championships and to a Big Ten Title at the 2022 Big Ten Championships last year. In all, Ohio State owns 10 Big Ten championships and 52 individual boat titles.
The 2023 NCAA Championships are scheduled for May 26-28 at the Camden Country Boathouse in Pennsauken, N.J.
