Nelson Successful for USA Gymnastics at 2023 Cairo World Cup

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Junior all-arounder Kameron Nelson competed for USA Gymnastics at the 2023 Cairo World Cup this past weekend, qualifying for the finals in both of his events – floor and vault.
- Vault: Competitors do two vaults in both the qualifying rounds and the finals, with their final score being the average of the two vaults competed in that round. Nelson finished sixth in the qualifying rounds with an average of 14.300 (14.330 / 14.270). In the finals, Nelson was fifth with an average score of 14.070 (14.500 / 13.630).
- Floor: Nelson scored a 13.400 during the qualifying rounds, good for seventh, to advance to the finals. He finished eighth in the finals (11.800).
