The Basics
- The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team returns to Big Ten play with a game at No. 10 Maryland Saturday.
- The teams will meet at noon in College Park, Md. The game will be streamed through Big Ten Plus and live statistics will be available.
- The Buckeyes enter the game 5-8 on the year (0-3 B1G) and Maryland is 11-3 (3-0 B1G).

Buckeyes vs. Terps
- The Buckeyes are looking to end a seven-game losing streak against Maryland, with the last victory an 11-10 win at Maryland in the 2015 Big Ten Tournament semifinals.
- In Columbus last April, the Terps recorded a 14-8 victory in Ohio Stadium.
- Maryland is 3-0 in Big Ten play, with wins over Rutgers, Michigan and Johns Hopkins. The Terps beat the Blue Jays 13-12 Wednesday in College Park. The game vs. the Buckeyes closes a four-game homestand for Maryland.
- The Terps are scoring 13.77 goals a game and allowing 8.85 per game to lead the Big Ten in scoring defense. The squad is fourth nationally in draw control percentage (.623) and third in clearing percentage (.942).
- Libby May has a team-high 43 goals and Eloise Clevenger is first with 29 assists. The duo shares the team point lead with 47 each. Shaylan Ahearn leads the squad with 95 draw controls. Abby Bosco has 27 caused turnovers and 30 ground balls to lead the team in both categories.
Buckeye This and That
- Ohio State, after a bye weekend, returned to action with a road game Tuesday. The squad fell at Marquette, 13-12.
- The Buckeyes are averaging 10.23 goals a game and giving up 11.31 per outing.
- Junior Jamie Lasda leads the Buckeyes with 24 assists and 43 points and is second with 19 goals. She had a career-high five assists and seven points in a victory over Louisville March 28. Lasda has four or more points in eight of the last nine games and at least one point in all but one game this year.
- Senior Nicole Ferrara is first on the squad with 33 goals and second with 40 points. She had a hat trick at Marquette Tuesday, with her first goal the 100th of her Buckeye career. The 33 goals are a career best, passing the 31 scored last season, when she added 21 assists for a career-best 52 points. Ferrara is on a team-high eight-game point streak.
- Sophomore Maddie Barhorst scored her first collegiate goal and point in the first quarter at Marquette. She tallied again, and set up a fourth-quarter goal to cut the lead to one late, for a three-point outing vs. the Golden Eagles.
- Redshirt freshman Annie Hargraves has multiple goals in each of the last three games, with a hat trick in the last two. She has 10 goals on the year.
- Three freshmen have started for the Buckeyes this season. Casey Roberts started each of the first 13, Zoe Coleman has 12 starts and Katie Kaucheck has been in the starting lineup the last nine outings.
- Coleman has a point in 10 of the first 13 games. She scored twice and added an assist against the Golden Eagles for a career-best three points. She has a 10-4-14 line this year.
- Roberts has tallied 14 goals and four assists for 18 points and has a point in 10 of 13 games, with a goal in nine outings.
- Sarah Johnson, Ava Keethler and Emily Magalotti have started all 13 games on defense for the Buckeyes. Magalotti had a career-high six ground balls vs. Louisville last week and is second on the team with 23 this season.
- Regan Alexander started all 13 games in the cage for the Buckeyes and has 124 saves, with 10-plus in eight outings. She notched a career-best 15 saves against Marquette, passing the 14 she had twice earlier this season.
- Alexander has a team-best and career-high 31 ground balls, including a career-high 11 vs. Johns Hopkins, the second-most in a single game in the NCAA this season.
- Caly O’Brien leads the Buckeyes with 36 draw controls after recording 10 in her first 38 games in the Scarlet and Gray. Lasda is second with 34 after posting nine her first two years. Jamie Level is third with 32 and has two collegiate seasons with 50+ draw controls.
- Chloë Johnson, who missed the first seven games and has had limited playing time since returning to the lineup, had six draw controls vs. Marquette. She moved into second place in Ohio State history with 227 draw controls, passing Katie Chase who had 221 from 2012-15. Molly Wood holds the program record with 237 from 2015-18. Johnson set the Buckeye record with 124 last season, the first Ohio State player with more than 100 draw controls in a season.
The Schedule Ahead
- The regular season home finale will be vs. No. 2 Northwestern at 6 p.m. April 15, televised by ESPNU.
- The regular season wraps up at Rutgers April 20, with the teams meeting in Piscataway, N.J., at 6 p.m. on BTN.

- After a quarterfinal round slate of games at campus sites hosted by higher seeds, Ohio State will host the Big Ten Tournament semifinals and final. The semis are set for 6 and 8 p.m. May 4 and the final will be played at 8 p.m. May 6. Ticket information will be coming soon.
