COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 7 Ohio State men’s gymnastics team (11-6, 1-2 B1G) is set to host the 2023 Big Ten Championships this Friday and Saturday nights inside Covelli. Action both nights is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET and broadcasted live on BTN.
Tickets are still available and can be purchased HERE. Fans with ticketing questions should call the Ohio State Ticket Office at 1-800-GO-BUCKS or email athletic.tix@osu.edu. With multiple events going on in the area, fans are asked to inform parking attendants that they’re attending men’s gymnastics to receive free parking.
- This season, Ohio State has competed against seven other Division I-sponsored programs within dual or tri-meet format in addition to competing at the Windy City Invite and Navy Open.
- Kameron Nelson was the lone Buckeye to travel to the Winter Cup, where he qualified for the men’s national team on floor and vault. He was then named College Gymnastics Association’s Co-Specialist of the Week for his performance.
- Ohio State’s conference win came against then No. 4 Illinois by a 401.000-399.200 margin on Feb. 11 inside the Covelli Center in thrilling comeback fashion after getting down early.
- Donovan Hewitt joined Nelson in being named Big Ten Gymnasts to Watch prior to the start of the season.
- Following his second weekend of collegiate competition, Kristian Grahovski was named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week on Jan. 23. Parker Thackston earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week the following week.
- Caden Spencer wrapped up the season’s awards by earning Big Ten Gymnast of the Week, Big Ten Freshman of the Week and CGA Gymnast of the Week after the dual meet at then No. 11 Army.
