Engel Named Big Ten Female Co-Track Athlete of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference released its weekly track & field awards on Wednesday. Junior distance runner Addie Engel earned the Buckeyes’ first weekly outdoor award of the season by being named Big Ten Female Co-Track Athlete of the Week.
Engel broke the Ohio State women’s 5000m program record at the Raleigh Relays this past weekend. Her 15:44.56 was fourth in a field of 170 who completed the race and was 12.5 seconds faster than the previous program record. Engel ranks third in the country in the 5000m this outdoor season.
