
37 Ohio State Football Players Named Academic All-Big Ten

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ten starters from the 2023 Ohio State football team headline a contingent of 37 players overall who today earned Academic All-Big Ten Conference honors for their work in the classroom this fall. The conference announced its list of honorees in the sports of field hockey, football, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer and volleyball Monday afternoon.
Honorees who start on the football field for the Buckeyes include WR Emeka Egbuka, WR Marvin Harrison Jr., RB TreVeyon Henderson, OC Carson Hinzman, OG Donovan Jackson, QB Kyle McCord, DE Jack Sawyer, LB Cody Simon, SAF Sonny Styles and P Jesse Mirco.
The honorees include six individuals who have been named Academic All-Big Ten three times: TE Patrick Gurd, DB Cameron Kittle, OL Trey Leroux, DL Jaden McKenzie, DB Andrew Moore and SAF Kourt Williams.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list, have been enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
