- Head Coach Kevin McGuff:
- "I thought we had some really good moments. I was a little disappointed that we didn't sustain those moments for closer to 40 minutes. We had some stretches where our press was very effective. We executed and our pressure was good and those turnovers resulted in a lot of points for us."
- Graduate guard Celeste Taylor:
- "Different teams have different ways to break a press. Throwing different things at them is difficult because they can't prepare for every single thing. Defense is beating people to the spot and being able to read and I think we have a lot of people who can be placed in different positions to be able to do that. It's fun out there to fly around and you know everyone else is going to fly around with you. The coaches do a good job of telling us when we should get back and shouldn't press depending on what's happening in the game at that time."
- Sophomore forward Cotie McMahon:
- "Games like today help us because we get to switch up our lineups and use our pieces that we have in different areas. That gives a lot of people opportunity on the bench to show where they're strong. Games like today are used to help us gel better together and help our chemistry and counting on each other."
