The Buckeyes will face their second ranked team of the season on Sunday before hosting in-state competition on Tuesday.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 16/13 Ohio State women's basketball team (5-1) travels to No. 20/22 Tennessee (4-3) on Sunday for a 5 p.m. tip on ESPN before hosting Ohio (2-3) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. on B1G+. Both games will be available on AM 1460.
On Tuesday against Ohio, the Buckeyes encourage students to come to the Schottenstein Center for a study break and some basketball. Viking Magic will be performing at halftime.

- Ohio State owns a 5-1 record this season after an 83-40 win against Cornell on Sunday. The Buckeyes allowed an all-time program-low two points in the second quarter as the defense totaled 14 steals and forced 26 turnovers in the game.
- Rebeka Mikulasikova (14), Cotie McMahon (14), Taylor Thierry (13) and Jacy Sheldon (10) scored in double figures, while Celeste had a season-high seven assists. Thierry earned the Buckeyes' first weekly award of the season by being named to the B1G Honor Roll.
- Sheldon and reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Year McMahon were both named to the Big Ten's Preseason Team as the Buckeyes were picked to finish second by the coaches and third by the media. Sheldon, McMahon and transfer Celeste Taylor all earned preseason honors outside of the Big Ten, including individual position award watch lists and the watch lists for the Naismith Trophy and Wooden Award.
- Tennessee enters the game with a 4-3 record this season as Ohio State will be its fourth-straight ranked opponent. The Lady Vols fell to No. 18 Notre Dame on Wednesday by a 74-69 margin in a close finish.
- The Lady Vols are 1-3 against ranked teams this season, beating then No. 22 Oklahoma 76-73 and falling to No. 21 Indiana 71-57 and No. 18 Florida State 92-91.
- Rickea Jackson led Tennessee averaging 22.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game through the first two games before sitting out the last five. Sara Puckett leads four other players averaging double figures with 14.0 ppg, while Jillian Hollingshead leads the rest of the roster with 7.0 rpg.
- Ohio State trails 2-10 in the all-time series against Tennessee. The teams are set for their fifth all-time meeting in Knoxville with Tennessee winning the four prior meetings on its home court.
- The teams have only met twice during the McGuff era with Tennessee earning the NCAA Tournament win on March 25, 2016 by a 78-65 margin and Ohio State earning the 87-75 win in the 2022-23 season opener in Columbus.
- Ohio enters the game with a 2-3 record this season, alternating losses and wins and most recently falling to Longwood on Wednesday by a 75-72 mark. Kennedi Watkins (16), Laylay Fantroy (15) and Jaya McClure (11) led the Bobcats' scoring against the Lancers.
- The Bobcats have beaten Dayton and IUPUI and have fallen to Appalachian State and Morehead State in addition to Longwood.
- McClure (14.5 ppg) and Watkins (10.2 ppg) lead the Bobcats' scoring offense this season, while Madi Mace (4.8 rpg) leads OU on the boards.
- Ohio State leads the all-time series 22-1 against Ohio, including a 9-1 mark when hosting the Bobcats in Columbus.
- Last season, the Buckeyes earned an 86-56 win in Athens on Nov. 17. OSU's defense tallied 18 steals and forced 33 turnovers in the contest. The Buckeyes took an 18-8 lead at the end of the first quarter that was not relinquished and also won the game's rebounding battle, 44-35.
- Ohio State had four double-figure scorers in last year's meeting, led by Jacy Sheldon's 16 points. Rebeka Mikulasikova (11) and Madison Greene (10) also scored in double figures, while Taylor Thierry led the team with eight rebounds.
