COLUMBUS, Ohio – The WCHA announced Monday its players of the week, which included Ohio State women's hockey players Jenn Gardiner and Raygan Kirk as Forward of the Week and Goaltender of the Week, respectively. The duo helped the Buckeyes to a sweep of then-ranked No. 1 Wisconsin last weekend in Columbus. Â

Gardiner led the Buckeyes with four points in the series. The Surrey, B.C. native was responsible for a team-high three goals against Wisconsin. She scored the team's second and third goals in game one, both on the power play, to push Ohio State to a 3-0 win. She followed up Friday's game by scoring the Buckeyes' first goal of game two and dishing the first assist on the overtime game-winning goal in the 2-1 win.

Gardiner's two-goal game against the Badgers marked the 12th time in her career she has recorded a multi-goal game. She also blocked three shots for the Buckeyes in the series.

Kirk was between the pipes for Ohio State's 3-0 shutout of Wisconsin, the team's second consecutive shutout of the Badgers on home ice. She made 19 saves in the game to improve to 6-0-0 on the year and earn her second shutout of the season. The Ste. Anne, Manitoba native held the Badgers, who were averaging over six goals a game, scoreless for the first time this season.

The Buckeyes will play their second of three straight matchups against top-10 opponents this weekend. Ohio State hosts No. 6 St. Lawrence Nov. 24-25Â at the OSU Ice Rink for its final regular season non-conference tilt. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday.
