COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State (3-4-4, 1-2-1) travels for the final time in 2023 regular season nonconference play for a match at No. 21 Louisville Tuesday. The Cardinals are 7-3-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The match will be live streamed by ACCN Extra (ESPN+).

After battling to scoreless draws against Michigan and Xavier, Ohio State has shutout four of the last five opponents and five of the last seven.
Buckeye keepers have combined to hold opponents scoreless over the last 287 minutes. Max Trejo earned a 2-0 shutout at Rutgers and then most recently held Michigan scoreless in a draw. Peter Van Euwen blanked Xavier.
Ohio State earned its first Big Ten win of the season with a 2-0 road win at Rutgers (9/29). Laurence Wootton scored on a first-half penalty kick before Marko Borkovic added an insurance goal in the second half in the shutout.
The last time Ohio State recorded a shutout on the road in Big Ten play was during the 2021 spring season at Michigan State (2-0) March 3, 2021. The Buckeyes also blanked Maryland 1-0 just prior to the MSU win Feb. 27. Those matches were contested in the spring because of the COVID pandemic in 2020.
The last time the Buckeyes recorded three-consecutive shutouts was a season ago when after a 1-all tie against South Carolina in the season opener, Ohio State held Cal Poly (3-0), Bowling Green (away, 1-0), Wright State (2-0) and Butler (2-0) without a score.
When it comes to experience, Ohio State has five players on its roster who have appeared in 50 or more NCAA Division I men's soccer matches. Brayden Durbin lead the way with 70 appearances while David Wrona, a transfer from Wake Forest, owns 67. Wootton owns the most starts on the 2023 roster with 54 in 55 career appearances.
