Kaitlyn Farley hits a grand slam in 16-0 win over Ohio Dominican
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The home portion of Ohio State's fall ball scheduled finished with a bang on Wednesday night, as the Buckeyes scored 15 runs in the second inning and defeated Ohio Dominican, 16-0.
The biggest hit of the game was a grand slam from junior Kaitlyn Farley, who finished night 2-for-4 with five RBI. Eight other players drove in runs, including Melina Wilkison, Taylor Heckman, Jazzy Burns, Kami Kortokrax, McKenzie Bump, Taylor Cruse and Skylar Limon.
Ohio State's 15-run second inning had a little bit of everything – five run scoring singles, a grand slam and six walks. It was more than enough run support for starting pitcher Lexi Paulsen, who went three innings and did not allow a hit while striking out three. Kennedy Kay pitched the final two innings of the night and struck out two.
The Buckeyes' 2023 fall ball schedule concludes on Sunday, Oct. 8 when they made the short trip south to Athens, Ohio to face the Ohio Bobcats in a doubleheader beginning at noon.
