COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State won its third-consecutive Big Ten match on Sunday, dominating Illinois 2-1 on Pink Day at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

Freshman Amanda Schlueter scored the first goal and then assisted on the second. She is now second on the team with 12 points on the year.
How it Happened
Ohio State started quick and attacked right from the opening touch. The Buckeyes earned four corners in the first 10 minutes. They got on the board in the 18th minute as Schlueter did her thing. The freshman picked her way into the left side of the box and then boomed a right-footed shot past the keeper for her fourth goal of the season.
In the 30th minute, Schluter fed Dudukovich from midfield, and she took one strong touch into the box and then buried her team-leading ninth goal of the season. That put the Buckeyes in front 2-0 and they would hold that edge until the 83rd minute. The Illini chipped-in a long ball to cut the deficit to 2-1 with just over seven minutes to play.
The Buckeyes defense held down the stretch and they claimed a third-consecutive victory.
