
Buckeyes Strong at Tennessee Relays Friday

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competed at the Tennessee Relays on Friday.
- The Buckeye men had three finish in the top-10 in the 3000m steeplechase. Nick Regas led OSU with a third-place finish (9:11.37) and the fastest OSU men’s time of the season. Sean Carney finished fourth (9:11.58) and Nathaniel Tamminga finished ninth (9:27.12).
- The OSU men and women each had three of the top-10 finishers in the 5000m. On the men’s side, John Cuozzo finished fourth (14:37.79), Kevin Agnew was fifth (14:38.67) and Giovanni Copploe came in 10th (14:55.40). On the women’s side, Daniella Santos was third (16:37.14), Andrea Kuhn was fourth (13:39.50) and Hannah Moulton was sixth (16:45.88).
- The Ohio State women had two in the top-10 in the 100m hurdles with Alexus Pyles tying her fastest time of the season (13.37) to finish second and Cierra Pyles running her fastest time of the season (13.72) to finish seventh.
- Pyles was also the runner-up in the long jump (6.00m).
- In the invitational heats of the 1500m, Addie Engel was the runner-up (4:25.24) on the women’s side and Nick Miller finished fourth (3:47.08) on the men’s side. Engel’s time was the fastest among the OSU women this season.
- Aziza Ayoub finished second (2:07.33) in the women’s 800m invitational heats.
- Tyrese Fajardo was the runner-up (49.05) in the men’s 400m.
- In the men’s 100m, Trey Gardette was fifth overall (10.55) and Tavonte Mott was sixth (10.57). Marcia Sey rounded out the top-10 on the women’s side (12.04). All three had their fastest times of the outdoor season.
- Mabinty Kebe finished third (1:04.68) in the women’s 400m hurdles, while David Palmer finished fourth (55.05) in the men’s 400m hurdles. In the invitational heats, Abby Kuhn finished fifth (1:02.71).
- In the men’s 800m, Ivan Slyepkan finished fourth (1:52.97) with Cameron Cooper right behind him in fifth (1:53.32). The Buckeye women also had two in the top-10 with Mallory Mulzer as the runner-up (2:11.89) and Gia Napoleon rounding out the top-10 (2:13.98).
- Kashawn Baptiste led the Buckeye men in the 200m with an eighth-place finish (21.78).
UP NEXT
The Buckeyes wrap up competition at the Tennessee Relays on Saturday, beginning action at noon ET. Ohio State also has student-athletes set to compete at the Joe May Invitational, hosted by LSU, on Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET.
