
Steyn Opens B1G Championship at 2-under 70

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State graduate Marco Steyn made four birdies in his opening round of 2-under 70 to lead the Buckeyes in the first round of the Big Ten Championship at the French Lick Resort in Indiana.
Steyn made back-to-back birdies to start the day and the birdied two of his final four holes to finish with a 70. He is in a tie for 7th after the first round.
Maxwell Moldovan made three on his first nine and would end up posting a round of 2-over 74. Patrick Schmucking is a shot behind Moldovan as he opened with a 75.
JonErik Alford shot a first round 78 and sophomore Adam Wallin posted an 81.
The Buckeyes will be in the first grouping off the back nine on Saturday morning starting at 9:40 a.m.
