Ohio State Wraps Up Competition Weekend

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team wrapped up competition at the Florida Relays and Oliver Nicoloff Invite on Saturday.

Oliver Nicoloff Invite:

David Palmer won the men’s 400m hurdles (53.53) with the fastest OSU male time of the outdoor season so far.
Both of the Buckeye men finished in the top-10 in the 800m with Cameron Cooper leading the way in fourth (1:52.06) and Ivan Slyepkan finishing eighth (1:53.54).
Amir Metts finished fourth in the men’s 200m (21.97).
Gia Napolean had her fastest 800m time (2:11.95) of the outdoor season so far to finish fifth.
In the men’s 100m, Tavonte Mott was sixth overall (11.05).
Nathaniel Tamminga finished seventh in the men’s 1500m (3:50.47).
Andrew Page was 0.01 seconds out of the top-10 in the men’s 400m (51.46).
In the women’s 1500m, Annie Allen and Ava Tenaglia led the Buckeye women, finishing in 4:49.70 and 4:49.74, respectively.

Florida Relays:

The Buckeyes had two in the top-five of the men’s shot put with Hayden Tobias finishing third (18.11m) and Josh Miller posting his best throw of the outdoor season (16.80m) to finish fifth.
Evan Johnson had his best discus throw of the season so far, his farthest going for 48.00m.

The Buckeyes travel to the Tennessee Relays next week, competing in Knoxville from Thursday through Saturday.
