
Ohio State Men Sweep Relays in Final Day of Raleigh Relays

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team wrapped up action at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday with two men’s relay wins. The Buckeye men won the 4x100m relay for the second-straight meet as the top squad (Kainnan Ramsey, Donnie James, Eric Harrison and Tyler Johnson) finished in 39.69. Ohio State also won the men’s 4x400m relay in 3:08.85 with Armani Modeste, James, Johnson and Zidane Brown on the top squad.
- The Ohio State women had two relay teams finish in the top-five in the 4x100m relay. Jaydan Wood, Yanique Dayle, Nya Bussey and Anavia Battle made up the second-place team, finishing in 44.79. Leah Bertrand, Jaimie Robinson, Britten Bowen and Morgan Lewis were fifth (47.07). The Buckeye men’s second relay finished in a tie for sixth (41.49) with Trey Gardette, Modeste, Oscar Smith and Brown on the relay team.
- Ohio State continued its strong relay showing with two relay teams in the top-six of the women’s 4x400m relay. Chanler Robinson, Wood, Battle and Mary Figler were the runner-ups, finishing with a time of 3:38.31. In sixth place was the team of Mabinty Kebe, Aziza Ayoub, Bussey and Alyssa Marsh (3:48.11). In addition to the men’s winning squad, the Buckeyes had another relay team finish 10th in the event (3:16.51) as Amir Metts, Tyrese Fajardo, Harrison and David Palmer made up this second relay squad.
- Nick Miller was the men’s runner-up in the 800m (1:50.77), just 0.05 seconds off the winning time.
- In the women’s long jump, Alexus Pyles finished second with a long jump of 5.91m.
- Figler led the Buckeyes in the women’s 800m (2:06.55), finishing fourth overall and in the fastest OSU women’s time so far this outdoor season.
- In the women’s 400m hurdles, C. Robinson finished sixth (1:01.12).
- Bertrand finished ninth overall in the women’s 200m (24.35) with her best time of the outdoor season.
UP NEXT
The Buckeyes split squad next weekend as some of the team travels to the Florida Relays and others go to the Oliver Nicoloff Invite at the University of Cincinnati. Both meets take place on Friday and Saturday.
