Hewitt Named College Gymnastics Association Specialist of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The College Gymnastics Association released its weekly men’s gymnastics awards on Wednesday. Junior Donovan Hewitt was named CGA Specialist of the Week following his showing against Army and William & Mary this past weekend.

Hewitt posted the highest vault score in the country this week with a career-best 14.800 and a stuck landing to win the event during a tri-meet win against Army and William & Mary on Saturday. Only two other individuals have earned at least a 14.800 on vault this season. Hewitt also finished second overall on rings with a strong 14.000. He ranks fourth in the nation on rings and eighth on vault.
