
Buckeyes Wrap Up Competition at Clemson and Iowa State

CLEMSON TIGER PAW RESULTS | IOWA STATE CLASSIC RESULTS
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team wrapped up the weekend’s competitions at the Clemson Tiger Paw and Iowa State Classic on Saturday.
- The Ohio State women picked up second and sixth in the 800m with Aziza Ayoub as the runner up (2:06.25) and Mary Figler in sixth (2:08.38).
- Kashawn Baptiste finished second in the men’s 400m (47.65). Tyrese Fajardo rounded out the top-10 in the event (48.78).
- Adelaide Aquilla was the runner up in the women’s shot put with a throw of 18.69m, which was longer than the previous facility record.
- The Buckeye men had two in the top-five of the men’s pole vault as Luke Bendick cleared 5.37m – the highest among any OSU athlete this season – to finish third. Leo Uusimaki finished fifth by clearing 5.07m.
- Clarence Foote-Talley’s 16.01m in the triple jump was good for fourth in the men’s field.
- Hayden Tobias finished fifth in the men’s shot put with a Buckeye’s season-best throw of 18.49m.
- In the women’s high jump, Amaya Ugarte had the best jump of any OSU woman this season as she cleared 1.77m to finish sixth. Shaun Miller Jr. finished fifth on the men’s side by clearing 2.13m.
- Addie Engel finished sixth in the women’s mile (4:42.46), finishing more than 11 seconds faster than the Ohio State women’s best time of the season. On the men’s side, Nick Regas finished sixth (4:04.75), also running the best time of the season in the event.
- The Ohio State women had two finish in the top-10 in the triple jump with Jaimie Robinson (13.35m) becoming the first of the Buckeye women to go longer than 13m this season. Cierra Pyles had her season-long 12.82m to place 10th.
- At the Iowa State Classic, the men’s 4x400m relay finished fourth (3:15.29) as Tyrese Fajardo, Kashawn Baptiste, Cameron Cooper and David Palmer made up the team. At the Clemson Tiger Paw, the women’s 4x400m relay finished seventh with the fastest time of the season (3:37.65) as Chanler Robinson, Bryannia Murphy, Alyssa Marsh and Jaydan Wood formed the Buckeye team. The Buckeye men’s relay team also finished seventh with its best time of the season (3:09.90) with Armani Modeste, Tyler Johnson, Zidane Brown and Donnie James running the relay.
- In the men’s 800m, Nick Miller finished eighth (1:49.32) with the fastest time among the Buckeye men’s roster this season.
- Eric Harrison ran the fastest time of the season in the 200m (20.88) for the OSU men, finishing just outside of the top-10.
