
Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Ranked In CSCAA Top 25 Dual Meet Rankings

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams are each ranked in the top 15 in the first edition of the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) 2022-23 Division I Top 25 Dual Meet Rankings; the women are ranked fifth and the men are ranked 12th.
The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches and select media. Each Division I committee includes representatives from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC, as well as seven at-large voters from Division 1 mid-major programs.
The women are the top-ranked Big Ten team and the men are the second-ranked Big Ten team, behind only Indiana.
The Buckeye women are coming off their third straight Big Ten title. The team won six events and 12 individual medals. OSU placed ninth at the NCAA Championships, earning their first-ever back-to-back top-10 finish. 27 Buckeyes earned All-America honors and Director of Swimming & Diving Bill Dorenkott was named the Big Ten Women’s Swim Coach of the Year for the third straight season.
The men placed second at the Big Ten Championships; it was their 13th consecutive year finishing in the top three. Ohio State earned seven event wins and 16 medals, and the diving team outscored every other program. The Buckeyes placed ninth at the NCAA Championships for their third-straight top-10 finish and 27 Bucks were All-America honorees.
The women’s team finished the 2021-22 season ranked sixth and the men were ranked ninth.
Ohio State opens the 2022-23 season with a dual meet at Virginia Tech Oct. 28-29.
