COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State head coach Jay Moseley has announced the addition of transfer Marco Steyn for the upcoming 2021-22 season.
Steyn was a four-year standout at Wake Forest, playing in 27 events and holding a stroke average of 72.69. He recorded six Top 20 finishes, including a pair of Top 5 finishes. He had 34 rounds at par or better with a career-low round of 63.
Steyn’s best two finishes as a Demon Deacon both came at the Old Town Club Collegiate Invitational. He fired rounds of 66-65-69 (-10) to finish fourth as a sophomore and then 66-63-67 (-14) to finish runner-up as a junior in 2019.
The Buckeyes are coming off a solid 2021 spring campaign that saw them finish sixth at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional, just two shots off of qualifying for the NCAA Championship.
